Secretary of Defense for Chemical Demilitarization and Threat Reduction DATSD(CD&TR) has responsibilities which include oversight and direction of the DoD Chemical Demilitarization Program, the DoD Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) Program, and the Defense Department’s implementation of, and compliance with, nuclear, chemical, and biological (NCB) treaties and agreements.
Subject content on the CD&TR Gateway Website would support and serve the Public Relations and Outreach Programs and potentially serve as a gateway for other NCB Treaties and activities associated with CD&TR mission areas.
The Gateway Website will provide a data and documentation interface that is readily accessible, responsive, and easy to use. It will support or accommodate an advanced interactive multimedia capability, including 2-D and 3-D still or animated graphics, video clips, audio clips, and photographs. Software for various content briefings and related materials could be designed and developed from external sources or under this effort and hosted on the CD&TR Gateway Website. The Website's baseline framework and structure shall be designed in consideration of updates and revised subject content as necessary by the development contractor or independently by CD&TR designated staff or personnel. This gateway will also support secure hyperlinks to the Defense Integrated Safeguards Knowledgebase and information systems supporting ODATSD(CD&TR).
